Rayburn 212SFW Solid Fuel & Wood Cooker

With ever increasing fuel prices, the Rayburn solid fuel & wood burning range cookers & boilers have become one of the most popular in the Rayburn range.  Wood burning Rayburns offer a solution for the environmentally conscious because wood is a sustainable and renewable source of fuel, and it is a carbon neutral solution to heating your home, hot water, and cooking.

The Rayburn 212SFW slow combustion solid fuel & wood stove has all the power and efficiency you would expect from a Rayburn, in a compact size and is ideal for smaller kitchens.  Features include a 4-pan hotplate with graduated heat (for boiling and simmering) and a large main oven and a lower warming oven, perfect for roasting and baking.

It also has the additional option of a 2.5 kW boiler for domestic hot water and limited heating (1-2 radiators depending on domestic hot water requirements) and supplies a steady 3-4kW of heat to the kitchen, which allows partial central heating to make your kitchen warm and toasty.

With multiple options - cooking or cooking and hot water or a combination of cooking, partial central heating, and hot water system – the Rayburn is perfect for every type of cooking and good living.

How It Works - Off Grid Cooking, Heating & Hot Water

Rayburn SFW (solid fuel) cookers have remarkable performance.  From cold, the boiler will reach optimal temperature in around 30 minutes and the cooker reaches simmering temperature within about 45 minutes. The solid fuel cookers are designed for continuous running and can burn wood and/or coal. The cooker is easy to use. Heat can be diverted from the cooker to the boiler or vice versa as required for heating or cooking.

Fuel Type

Solid Fuel

Wood burning is better for the environment because the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is the same as that absorbed by the tree during growth.

Other recommended fuels are smokeless coal, bituminous coal (contains less carbon) and peat, making it perfect for today’s environmentally concerned cooks.  By replacing some of your energy needs with natural fuels you are minimising the cost and helping to reduce your carbon footprint.  This model is dynamite in a small package in terms of models available, fuel options and space-saving designs.
